In this Project i recreated the Argonath in Unreal Engine 5
To improve my UE5 knowledge and my render capabilities, i decided to recreate one of my favourite scenes from the Lord of the Rings. Sidefact: The monument comprised two enormous statues carved in the likenesses of Isildur and Anárion, standing upon either side of the River Anduin at the northern entrance to Nen Hithoel. It marked the northern border of Gondor, and nearby to the south were previous outposts, Amon Hen and Amon Lhaw.
I personally learned a lot with this project. I implemented some Marketplace and Quixel Bridge assets as well as my own. Furthermore i learned more about lighting and render settings to make it look good. Additionally I got the chance to deepen my knowledge in blender and UV unwrapping, which always comes in handy. Not only this, but I even found out about some new Camera options and settings, which i didnt know about before. Its not perfect yet, but im eager to improve further.
